Dies h\u00e4ngt das VMWare-Tools .iso ein, das per ESXi-Server-Installation bereits im datastore liegt.<\/p>\n<p>Per SSH zur VM verbinden, oder einfach die Konsole \u00f6ffnen (ich finde SSH komfortabler, da in der Konsole kein Copy&amp;Paste m\u00f6glich ist),<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>iso ins Betriebssystem einh\u00e4ngen\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">sudo mkdir \/mnt\/cdrom<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true \">sudo mount \/dev\/cdrom \/mnt\/cdrom<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>VMware Tools-&lt;version&gt; kopieren und auspacken\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">cp \/mnt\/cdrom\/VMwareTools-9.4.15-2827462.tar.gz \/tmp\/<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">cd \/tmp<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true \">tar -zxf VMwareTools-9.4.15-2827462.tar.gz<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Pakete f\u00fcrs Kompilieren holen\/\u00fcberpr\u00fcfen, falls diese noch nicht installiert sind<\/li>\n<li>#Installation durchf\u00fchren\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true \">cd vmware-tools-distrib<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">sudo .\/vmware-install.pl<\/pre>\n<p>&#8211; Alle Nachfragen mit ENTER best\u00e4tigen.<br \/>\n&#8211; Das Script h\u00e4ngt das Image automatisch aus.<br \/>\n&#8211; Ein Reboot des Gast-Systems ist nicht notwendig<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>VmWare-Tools l\u00e4uft nun als Service:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">ps -ef | grep vm\r\nroot      1072     1  0 14:53 ?        00:00:00 \/usr\/sbin\/vmtoolsd\r\nralwet    1318  1219  0 14:54 pts\/0    00:00:00 grep --color=auto vm<\/pre>\n<h2>Check, welche VmWare-Tools version installiert ist<\/h2>\n<pre class=\"lang:sh decode:true\">\/usr\/bin\/vmware-toolbox-cmd -v\r\n8.3.17.15269 (build-784891)\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Getestet mit &#8222;ESXi 4.1 Update 3&#8220; Server (4.1.0, 800380) und folgenden Gastsystemen: Ubuntu-Server 10.04.4 LTS Ubuntu-Server 12.04.1 LTS Ubuntu-Server 12.10 Als erstes sicherstellen, dass auf dem Gastsystem alles notwendige installiert ist: sudo apt-get install build-essential sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) Dann in der vSphere-Client-Konsole: Men\u00fc VM-&gt;Gast-&gt;VMwareTools installieren.
